WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

This in-depth training session promises to be informative and practical. The course will start with a review of the 2015 CBES and its significant changes from the 2011 code and move into identifying in each section of the code best practices to meet the requirements. Project examples will be used to share alternate approaches and invite discussion on the intent of the code language, recent and expected changes, and attendees’ experiences. The new Stretch Guideline and its application for Act 250 projects will be covered as well as available software tools, including COMcheck and Efficiency Vermont’s Lighting Power Density (LPD) tool, for demonstrating code compliance. The day will wrap up with two final segments: certification requirements and an overview of Efficiency Vermont services for new construction projects.

Specific code topics or questions in advance are welcome and encouraged. Project/code solutions are also invited for discussion at the workshop.
