Scheduled ICC Building Safety of Vermont Events for 2012

NOTICE:  Unless otherwise noted below, meetings are scheduled for the 2^nd Wednesday of each month (previously the 2^nd Thursday).

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings begin at 3pm and last about 2 hours.  See calendar below for more information.

Jan. 11 — Bruce Johnson to give 90 minute (2:30 to 4 pm) presentation/discussions on VT Code Updates and, per the request of the board, chapter building recommendations (resources, best practices).

Feb. — There will not be a BSA-VT meeting.  The Board encourages all members to attend the Better Buildings By Design Conference, 2/8 and 2/9.

Mar. — Director Glenn Moore will lead a discussion on participation in the ICC Convention, Montpelier.

Apr. — Membership discussion of code adoption in Vermont, especially as it relates to the IRC.

May — Special Inspections

June — BSA-VT 2011 Annual Meeting and Election of Board Members — Lake Morey Resort, Fairlee.  7:30 am to 2:30 pm.  This year’s event will include a second day for training (CEUs will be available).

July — No meeting or conference call planned.

Aug. — Fire Suppression Systems

Sept. — Compliance with Vermont Building Energy Standards.

Oct. — Approval of Non-Prescriptive and Alternative Methods and Materials.

Nov. — Membership meeting

Dec. — Building Technology/Product Education:  1st Thursday of the month.  Location: Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Vermont, Williston.   This is a lunch meeting, noon to 1:30pm — $15 fee to non-members.
