August is a great time to focus on workplace safety with OSHA's Safe + Sound Week. This week-long event, held annually, encourages businesses to highlight their safety efforts and explore ways to reduce workplace risks. Here are some activities that can be incorporated: Conducting safety training sessions, safety fairs, and safety drills, hosting toolbox talks, reviewing and updating safety policies, and sharing safety tips via email or posters. You can also launch suggestion boxes for safety improvements and conduct a mock emergency drill, says OSHA Online Center.
